Internationally known Korean Girl Group KARA recently released two Japanese Single, respectively titled Speed Up & Girl's Power.
First, let's talk about Speed Up. The girl's did a complete 360 degree turn from their previous Japanese Single, instead of the cute/lovely concept they have embraced ever since they debuted in Japan, the girls we're back to the 'Black Era (remember 2010 when all Korean Girl Groups has the dark concept?). Now, we all know that Nicole, Hara, Gyuri & Seungyeon can pull their sexy concepts, it's no surprise, but everyone might want to pay attention to JiYoung, why? the maknae of the group, pulled the concept better than her group members? her face expression, the way she danced, all I can say is JiYoung is finally a grown up.

SPEED UP is a really catchy song, but since Japanese Fans are not used to seeing KARA in their sexy concept, this concept might be harder for them to get use to
Another single released by KARA a day after the release of SPEED UP. The next song titled 'Girl's Power' returns our beloved angel's. Gone the sexy, fierce concept they portrayed a day before.
In short words, Girl's Day is the complete opposite of SPEED UP. Once again, KARA knows where their fans weaknesses lies. With a catchy chorus & a dance that easy to follow anyone can dance around with this song, a great song for the warming weather.
Dressed in colourful dresses, the girl's showed their inner child, surrounded by cupcakes, bunnies & balloons the girl's made a great use of their surrounding. Nothing really different from the usual cute/lovely concept KARA is known for in Japan.

After 7 Months of Hiatus the group finally comes back with a new single titled 'Touch' what's so special about this track? First it's different from their past singles, it showed Miss A's vocal abilities, their ability to adapt a different dance genre. The dance will right away catch your attention, instead of the usual pop dance track that K-POP girl group these days take, Miss A captured the robotic dance with a bit of tango & the usual pop dance. But this time, a song that seems a bit dull was turned into a lively music and anyone can dance into. This group is a fresh air in the K-POP girl group. With a lot of competitions around, they proved themselves that they can different from the other debuts.
SPICA a new girl group under B2M Entertainment [Lee Hyori's Agency], is one of the brightest star shining in the K-POP world. Considering they are newbie's in the scene, they already established themselves to be group that other entertainment companies needs to watch for.
Apparently their group name SPICA is the brightest star in the constellation virgo and the fifteenth brightest star at night. SPICA debuted with Potently where they showed their vocal abilities that should not be denied. Later on they released their debut single Russian Roulette and it's different from the aegyo filled debut that most girl groups are going for today. Instead it's filled with feminine power & sexuality. This is certainly a group that should be watched out for!
Maybe it is now safe to say that SPICA & B.A.P made quite a noise with their debuts.

SECRET's Song Ji Eun & SiSTAR's Hyorin. The two new voices of Korean Drama OSTs are rising. Although Hyorin already made a name for herself as The Korean Beyonce, many KPOP fans might already know that Ji Eun even before debut was already famous.
Song Ji Eun recently released the OST for the Korean Drama Take Care Of Us, Captain starring many famous Korean Actors & Actresses. Though Ji Eun doesn't have the powerful voice that HyoRin carries, she still gave the song that most singers wouldn't be able to deliver.

After a few minutes of digging, apparently both Song Ji Eun & HyoRin we're trainees of JYP Entertainment and that the two we're suppose to debut in the same group with Miss A'sMin, but plans we're dropped after HyoRin was dropped from the label. She later audition at STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT and was accepted right away, she later debuted with girl group SiSTAR as the group's leader & Main Vocalists
Song Ji Eun also moved entertainment companies and was accepted right away, she later debuted with girl group SECRET as the group Main Vocalists.

Wonder Girls released their music video for THE DJ IS MINEfeaturing SCHOOL GYRLS an American Girl Group. The song is very nice indeed, but the music video lacks promotion. I mean they are promoting two girl groups in the American Market and yet the video is low quality, you can barely see the girls' faces which means a lot of viewers won't recognize their faces. It's been a long time since I post something about this group and their releases. Though this group is still in the dark, (yes SM ENT has not revealed all members names of the group) in the last teaser video that was released it is expected that the boyband will have 12 members [other member is not shown in the image] and that they will be split in half EXO-K & EXO-M, their debut is still in the dark but rumors say that the group will debut in INKIGAYO with all the groups debuting this year, I hope this group wouldn't be buried under the sand, but with all the teaser SM ENTERTAINMENT has been releasing lately, I doubt this group will be forgotten.
This week it's all about SMTOWN for those who doesn't know SMTOWN is the name given to the artists of SM Entertainment when they are all together. (ex. during a concert, special albums & etc.)
First we will talk about Super Junior for those who doesn't know two members of Super Junior better known as (SuJu) released a single titled 'Oppa Oppa' and believe me it's an addicting song.
The live performances of the song are also nothing but amazing, it's a feat for the two members of Super Junior. So without further ado! I present to you Donghae & Eunhyuk's song of the year.
I posted the one where they performed together with the rest of the Super Junior members and Yesung & Ryeowook's stage are hilarious ;) talk about some serious dance lessons.
Next is the leading girl group for the K-POP World Domination. Girls Generation (SNSD) now when we're talking about a girl group who can belt out the English Language better than anyone then we have SNSD on our side. These girls have been dominating the Korean Charts ever since the released of their most successful single Gee.
Ending the year with the bang, SNSD released an special Christmas Song that was sang in english and it's better than any other SM Artist. Titled Diamond the song is nothing but amazing. Christmas is over, but I still listen to the song. So, without further ado! Listen to SNSD's Diamond.

Last is EXO the new boyband that is suppose to grace us K-POP fans next year, and I must say they are not disappointing us. I mean look at their background, they have SM ENT backing them up, for their debut showcase they had f(x), Girls Generation, TVXQ, SHINee and Super Junior backing them up. If that isn't support from your labelmates and then I don't know what you guys would call support.
Although only 4 members of the group we're announced it is still a mystery as to how many members really are in the group. SM ENT announced that they would be debuting two boy bands next year much like Super Junior who has sub-groups all over the place. EXO members would be divided into two subgroups one named EXO-K (K for Korean) and EXO-M (M for Mandarin). Well, then let's just wait and see what SM will do.

Totally out of the blue release. Didn't expect it to be this early, but considering that their comeback showcase is next week I guess it's understandable.
To be honest it's a good song, but the Wonder Girls vibe that they have carried ever since their debut wasn't there. It feels like this song was written for Miss A no offence, but I really think this song suits Miss A's style better than Wonder Girls, though Wonder Girls did an amazing job with the song, the rap part was kind of unexpected. It seems like it was just pasted in there somewhere sorry Yubin but your rap kind of wavered a bit there.
Well let's just see how they do in the charts, since SNSD is still taking over South Korea at the moment. The battle of the best girls groups will start this week. Don't forget that we still have Brown Eyed Girls promoting, but this time I think fans are only concern about Girls Generation & Wonder Girls itself.
It's the battle between GG & WG I wonder who will take the triple crown home.

As soon as I got home I checked SMTOWN's Youtube right away and I was so excited to see that Girls Generation already released their Music Video for both Korean & English Version for their song 'The Boys' and my anticipation, excitement and everything else that comes with it, went down the drain as soon as I watched both Music Videos.
First there was no change on both Music Video it was the same clips, same actions the only thing they changed is the music.
Second the song is something that should be sang by rookies not professionals. I mean right now I'm ready to go and get Teddy Riley & SM Entertainment for letting Girls Generation release a song like this. I mean seriously? It has Britney Spears & Gwen Stefani written all over it.
To say that I'm disappointed means I'm being a little bit too nice because the song just SUCKS Balls really!
Right now I'm having second thoughts about this release. I think SECRET did a better job with their comeback album than Girls Generation did.
With Girls Generation's comeback just around the corner many entertainment companies postponed their artists comeback plans, their reason 'it would be useless as people won't pay attention to their idols due to Girls Generation's Comeback' . I have always admired SECRET due to their courage to go ahead and released their first full length album despite the comebacks of big names such as Girls Generation and Wonder Girls just around the corner.
Just today SECRET released the music video for their title track 'Love is Move'. Without further ado here is the music video.
This time it's less of the cutesy concept and more of the sexy & mature look that most girl groups today are portraying. It's a good concept to portray it would set them apart a bit from other comebacks.

Totally out of the blue release. Didn't expect it to be this early, but considering that their comeback showcase is next week I guess it's understandable.
To be honest it's a good song, but the Wonder Girls vibe that they have carried ever since their debut wasn't there. It feels like this song was written for Miss A no offence, but I really think this song suits Miss A's style better than Wonder Girls, though Wonder Girls did an amazing job with the song, the rap part was kind of unexpected. It seems like it was just pasted in there somewhere sorry Yubin but your rap kind of wavered a bit there.
Well let's just see how they do in the charts, since SNSD is still taking over South Korea at the moment. The battle of the best girls groups will start this week. Don't forget that we still have Brown Eyed Girls promoting, but this time I think fans are only concern about Girls Generation & Wonder Girls itself.
It's the battle between GG & WG I wonder who will take the triple crown home.
Wonder Girls finally released their second teaser for their upcoming music video. Guess the title of the song would be 'Be My Lady' but lately K-Music has been leading it's fans far away from it's real point and although I trust that Wonder Girls will make an amazing comeback :D

Ever since JYP Entertainment revealed that Wonder Girls will be making a comeback. Wonderfuls has been kept on their toes for long enough. Now JYP & Wonder Girls officially release the first MV teaser for their comeback single.
The title of the single is still unknown, but base on the teaser Wonder Girls this year are going for the rocker-american type girl group and let's just hope it's not a disappointing comeback as Wonderfuls have been waiting for them for a long time now.

The girls will be coming back with a confident, mature look that will definitely leave fans hanging their mouths open. It's different from Wonder Girls' usual retro-pop concept. This time the girls will challenge the sexy and yet edgy look.

As soon as I got home I checked SMTOWN's Youtube right away and I was so excited to see that Girls Generation already released their Music Video for both Korean & English Version for their song 'The Boys' and my anticipation, excitement and everything else that comes with it, went down the drain as soon as I watched both Music Videos.
First there was no change on both Music Video it was the same clips, same actions the only thing they changed is the music.
Second the song is something that should be sang by rookies not professionals. I mean right now I'm ready to go and get Teddy Riley & SM Entertainment for letting Girls Generation release a song like this. I mean seriously? It has Britney Spears & Gwen Stefani written all over it.
To say that I'm disappointed means I'm being a little bit too nice because the song just SUCKS Balls really!
Right now I'm having second thoughts about this release. I think SECRET did a better job with their comeback album than Girls Generation did.
With Girls Generation's comeback just around the corner many entertainment companies postponed their artists comeback plans, their reason 'it would be useless as people won't pay attention to their idols due to Girls Generation's Comeback' . I have always admired SECRET due to their courage to go ahead and released their first full length album despite the comebacks of big names such as Girls Generation and Wonder Girls just around the corner.
Just today SECRET released the music video for their title track 'Love is Move'. Without further ado here is the music video.
This time it's less of the cutesy concept and more of the sexy & mature look that most girl groups today are portraying. It's a good concept to portray it would set them apart a bit from other comebacks.

After weeks and weeks of hanging fans. Girls Generation revealed a final release date of their album and it's not only in South Korea but worldwide what's surprising is that their title track The Boys will also include an english version of the song.
